Back to Amman

Tuesday, June 22nd

While I spent some time in the spa, Jason went swimming with the kids. We probably could have stayed longer, but check out was at noon and we needed to get back to Amman! Because the hotel is at the northern end of the Dead Sea, it’s actually quite close to Amman (1-1.5 hours). Once in Amman we got the rest of the family to their hotel and brought Eva back to the institute to see her summer digs. She thought it was all pretty cool (though I’m sure those weren’t the exact words she used), which was a relief to us. We let her get settled in and start to relax. She’s been running from site to site for more than 2 weeks, which can be exhausting (though also wonderful). Turns out everyone else was exhausted as well and instead of having everyone over for dinner, as planned, we decided to meet for lunch tomorrow.
